Instead of calculating gold cost based on a 0-second duration (which is treated as 10 seconds), many Damage Health ingredients use a 1-second duration. There's a bug that affects gold calculation for most ingredients with Damage Health. Ectoplasm combined with any Fortify Destruction ingredient other than Nightshade yields a standard-strength Fortify Destruction potion. This also means that ingredients with weaker effect strengths, such as Ectoplasm and Nightshade for Fortify Destruction, are only relevant if combined with another weak ingredient. If River Betty and Nirnroot are combined, the potion will have the exact same properties as a potion made using River Betty and Deathbell or River Betty and Falmer Ear. The ingredients in the following table are all listed in decreasing priority, so the top-most ingredient is always the one that determines the properties. ![]() When using non-standard ingredients, the effect properties are determined only by the highest priority ingredient for that effect, where the ingredient priority is believed to be the Cost for the effect, as listed for each item in the Creation Kit. (The internal value for the duration of the potion has been changed, but that duration has no effect on game play other than through the gold cost of the potion). ![]() Nirnroot ( 12.6× ): Damage Health potions that include Nirnroot will have a gold cost 12.6 times larger than a standard potion, even though the magnitude of the potion is the same. The gold cost of the potion is also affected, but the factor is not shown on this page (see Damage Health for details). River Betty ( 2.5× ): Damage Health potions that include River Betty will have a magnitude 2.5 times greater than a standard Damage Health potion (e.g., 30 magnitude at alchemy 100).Those ingredients are noted in the following table by including symbols summarizing how those ingredients alter the potion. Several effects (most notably Damage Health) have ingredients that produce non-standard potion strengths. However, those values are still relevant in determining the cost of the potion. Values in italics (for example, the duration of many potions) are values that are not visible in-game, and in most cases do not have an effect on gameplay. Even larger enhancements are possible with custom enchantments. With 100% Fortify Alchemy (the maximum possible without custom enchantments) and all Alchemy perks, most potions and poisons will be five times stronger (6.25 times stronger for restoration potions). These are not the maximum strengths of a potion: they can be increased if alchemy perks are unlocked and also by fortifying alchemy skill. The last three columns of the following table provide the magnitude, duration, and cost (gold) of a standard potion if crafted at 100 Alchemy skill, without any perks. ![]()

That’s what will give you nice square quilt without waves in the borders. It’s simple and always provides perfect results. This is the method that I use for adding borders to a quilt. I also cut 4 navy 2 ½″ x 2 ½″ squares to use as cornerstones for this border The borders I used for this quilt are as follows:ġst border: cut 6 white strips 2 ½″ x WOF (width of fabric). You’ll need to make 18 of these blocks for this throw-size quilt. The off-setting block in this quilt is an Irish Chain Block. That’s because I was planning to use red as my dominant color in my off-setting block. If you look at them now, you can see that I only used the color red as an accent color in these blocks. ![]() The 1962 epic Lawrence of Arabia won seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. Quicksand made an early appearance in the movies. Relatively few people were killed or injured, but widespread liquefaction damaged or destroyed almost 15,000 homes. That’s exactly what happened in June 1964 when a magnitude 7.6 quake struck Niigata, Japan. The sand or soil can be ejected from the ground and destabilize the surface, so any buildings resting there will start sinking, much like the action of quicksand. When a significant earthquake hits, its motion can make loose, dry soil act like a liquid, a phenomenon called liquefaction. Earthquakes can bring on quicksand-like conditions. The low-lying river estuaries of Florida and the Carolinas are prone to quicksand, while the canyons of southern Utah, New Mexico, and northern Arizona can harbor quicksand when it forms around springs. Common locations for quicksand include beaches, lakeshores, riverbanks, marshes, and the ground surrounding subterranean springs. Quicksand can form anywhere the conditions are right.įor quicksand to form, conditions must be perfect: There needs to be a quantity of grainy soil and a constant water source that saturates the ground. It isn’t clear where and how much dry quicksand actually exists, though likely locations would be in deserts and at the bases of sand dunes, where air can flow among the fine grains. This low-density combination, created in a lab experiment and published in the journal Nature in 2004, instantly swallowed up an object placed on its surface. Dry quicksand occurs when very fine sand particles are suspended in air instead of a liquid. Wet quicksand is the kind in which sand is suspended in water. Anything on the surface of the quicksand will begin to sink. ![]() When the colloid is agitated by something-say, a person stepping into it-the mix becomes a liquified soil that can no longer support weight. As long as the colloid stays still, the particles remain where they are. ![]() Scientifically speaking, it’s a colloid-a situation in which one substance (sand or silt) is suspended in another substance (water) without settling to the bottom. Most quicksand is a viscous mixture of sand, clay, mud, or silt saturated with water. Michel, France, are prone to quicksand formation. ![]() ![]() ![]() If you were to start right over here and you were to rotate around So if I were to start, if I were to, let me draw some coordinate axes here. So let's just first thinkĪbout what a negative 270 degree rotation actually is. So actually let me go over here so I can actually draw on it. The points of this triangle around the origin by negative 270 degrees, where is it gonna put these points? And to help us think about that, I have copied and pasted So what we want to do is think about, well look, if we rotate And this tool, I can put points in, or I could delete points. So positive is counter-clockwise, which is a standard convention, and this is negative, so a negative degree would be clockwise. The direction of rotationīy a positive angle is counter-clockwise. So this is the triangle PINĪnd we're gonna rotate it negative 270 degrees about the origin. We're told that triangle PIN is rotated negative 270ĭegrees about the origin. I hope this gives you more of an intuitive sense. If you want, you can connect each vertex and rotated vertex to the origin to see if the angle is indeed 90 degrees. As per the definition of rotation, the angles APA', BPB', and CPC', or the angle from a vertex to the point of rotation (where your finger is) to the transformed vertex, should be equal to 90 degrees. The rotated triangle will be called triangle A'B'C'. The point at which we do the rotation, we'll call point P. Well, let's say the shape is a triangle with vertices A, B, and C, and we want to rotate it 90 degrees. The shape is being rotated! But how do we do this for a specific angle? With your finger firmly on that point, rotate the paper on top. Now place your finger on the rotation point. Put another paper on top of it (I like to imagine this one as being something like a transparent sheet protector, and I draw on it using a dry-erase marker) and trace the point/shape. Here's something that helps me visualize it: The "formula" for a rotation depends on the direction of the rotation. I'm sorry about the confusion with my original message above. If you want to do a clockwise rotation follow these formulas: 90 = (b, -a) 180 = (-a, -b) 270 = (-b, a) 360 = (a, b). Also this is for a counterclockwise rotation. 360 degrees doesn't change since it is a full rotation or a full circle. 180 degrees and 360 degrees are also opposites of each other. So, (-b, a) is for 90 degrees and (b, -a) is for 270. ![]() The way that I remember it is that 90 degrees and 270 degrees are basically the opposite of each other. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry that's usually a big misconceptions on anyone coming from Warhammer. We really like that battletech isn't wysiwyg! There are canon configs or you can design your own, either by tweaking a canon configuration or just starting from a base chassis and doing your own thing. So to skip along a bit, Omnimechs are modular, with weapons mounted in pods on a fixed base chassis. This kinda ties into the idea of an omnimech. We were more thinking along the lines of the battletech video game in which you put different weapons of your choice on the chassis available to you The arbitrary line between saying "this is a variant and this is a new mech" is extremely blurry. Some "variants" of a mech will change literally everything from weight (ok that one is uncommon) to armour, weapons and engine / movement profile. Ok that is indistinguishable from making new mechs with a mech designer. We were more thinking along the lines of the battletech video game in which you put different weapons of your choice on the chassis available to you. We don't want to make scratch mechs according to the rules in the armored combat rulebook. I'm trying to keep it short and to the point but I'm failing lol. You're welcome, lots of people will try and help you out. Omnimechs have a fixed chassis and a variety of canon loadouts (and you can if course make custom ones) - that's probably the closest to the answer to your question. That locust could be standing in for a MadCat quite happily. The official rules point out you can use anything you want (so long as everyone knows what it is and it has a clearly marked front facing). Remember that unlike Warhammer, Battletech does not require you to use WYSIWYG. It's technically possible to do it with own and paper but it's not exactly a 5 minute job lol. Or you can design your own using one of the many mech designers (megamek lab is probably the best). To take your example, if you have a look at the locust on Sarna With any weight class, almost any weapons combination (within the rules) - or modify anything that exists. You can build from scratch a rules legal mech of your own devising. Theres a much longer answer though and just saying "sheets are here and blank sheets are here" is misleading in the extreme.īattletech has a complex mech design system - which your question suggests you're unfamiliar with. Is there a resource for a "blank" locust record sheets we could use to choose our own weapons?
